Lion Fight Promotions is very proud to announce that undefeated “Rising Star” award winner Gaston Bolanos has signed a multi-fight contract extension with the organization.

With stylish striking, highlighted by his trademark spinning back elbow, Bolanos burst onto the scene in 2015. His spectacular victories earned him the “Rising Star” award from AXS TV Fights as well as the Hispanic Athlete of the Year honor from Inca Cola.

Bolanos is coming off the biggest win of his career with a victory over Kronphet Phetrachapat at Lion Fight 27, and he is scheduled to return to the ring at Lion Fight 29 which is slated for Friday, May 6th at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California.

“Gaston Bolanos has had a meteoric rise to the top of the American  Muay Thai ranks and Lion Fight is thrilled to re-sign him to another multi-fight contract,” said Lion Fight President & CEO Scott Kent.

“Along with Ky Hollenbeck, the CSA gym is producing world-class Muay Thai fighters and Gaston represents the next generation. With his work ethic and humility he has become a fan favorite and Lion Fight looks forward to showcasing this talented future superstar.”

Fight fans will have the opportunity to congratulate Gaston on his freshly signed deal and meet fellow Lion Fight competitor Julio Pena during a special autograph session taking place just prior to the start of Lion Fight 28 coming up on Friday, February 26th at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

Gaston and Julio will be on-hand from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. outside the Fox Theater right next to the Lion Fight apparel table.

The pair will then join the fans inside the theater for all the action of Lion Fight 28 featuring a pair of title fights. In the main event, ‘Smokin’ Jo Nattawut defends his super welterweight crown against  Cedric Manhoef, and in the co-main event, reigning lightweight champ Ognjen Topic puts his belt on the line against Sergio Wielzen.
